DESCRIPTION OF YOUR MONTHLY GAS BILL:

You will be mailed a bill for gas charges each month. It will be based on the number of cubic feet of gas registered through your meter during the month (which is approximately thirty days). The gas bill will be mailed (or emailed) around the first of the month each month and will be due on the 17th of the month. Each gas bill will contain the following information:

  1. Billing Date
  2. Number of Days in the billing cycle
  3. Due Date which is always due on the 17th of the month
  4. Your account number, account name, and service address
  5. Class of Service provided
  6. The normal and actual degree days
  7. Dates and meter readings at the beginning and end of the billing period (Service Period and Meter Reading)
  8. Amount if paid before due date
  9. Amount if paid after due date
  10. Contact information for the office or website
  11. Cubic feet that was used (Usage (ccf)) present meter reading minus previous meter reading
  12. Multiplier (Pressure Factor)
  13. Monthly therm factor
  14. The total number of therms delivered during the billing period. A therm is equal to 100,000 British Thermal Units(BTUs). A cubic foot of natural gas has approximately 1,000 BTU's.
  15. Any balance due from a previous gas bill
  16. Total current gas charges
  17. Any charges other then gas charges or sales tax
  18. Indiana sales tax
  19. Total charges for the billing cycle
  20. Budget payment plan amount
  21. Actual account balance for budget customers only
  22. Total amount due for current charges, previous balance and any other charges or budget amount
  23. Message box
  24. Any previous balance that is subject to disconnection
  25. Customer name and mailing address
